Everyone knows how professional photographers charge the earth... it's fair enough they have to make a living, there's insurance, getting all the kit, double camera bodies in case one breaks.

Unfortunately almost everyone knows someone who was disappointed in their chosen budget photographer (or even high end pro) who simply burnt their photos to disc and didn't even bother to crop or improve on the images they took. The pros will often give you a wide selection of images to choose from but then charge small fortune if heaven forbid you actually wanted copies of them.

If you are struggling with the vast expense of your wedding obviously I would be cheaper than the competition. Alternatively for a few extra hundred pounds you could hire me as a second photographer. My relaxed and subtle approach would give you the candid moments, the non-posed photographs, you know things the guests are getting up to when you are focused on the wedding itself.

Prices vary depending on where, how long and if it's a weekend or weekday.

Have you considered a post wedding shoot? Otherwise known as a honeymoon shoot. Maybe shot in the same grounds as your wedding but with less pressure and more relaxed could get you a really nice finishing touch to your album storybook. This works well if you're unlucky to have had bad weather on your day. It's also very popular to have a pre-wedding shoot along a similar line, but this is a rehearsal for the big day, think about the different locations you can try out before trudging back and forth trying to find the best place on the day.

Hopefully you can see from this small sample what results you'll get. Some photographers will just snap 300 pictures and burn them to disc without editing them. Others watermark them or restrict which ones you can have or reprint. Not me.

I take pride in my work. Remember it's not just the time for the event, it takes 3-4 hours of post development work, cropping, light adjustments etc.

Why not do something special for your daughter/son's prom night... I have did my cousin's pre-prom night, which is a great low cost way of making the night really something else.
